“An entertaining thriller [which] deftly captures the bustle of 1890s Chicago, as well as the near-claustrophobic feel of The Castle and its mysteries."

Kirkus

"Zuretta’s gumption makes the heroine easy to root for, as she faces off with a murderer and also confronts the powerful men who don’t see missing working class girls as a problem."

Vodnik
“VODNIK is compelling, interesting and darkly humorous. I think you’ll love it.”

Brandon Sanderson, NY Times bestselling author of the Mistborn trilogy

“A first encounter with racism blends well with a compelling fantasy adventure […] a shy boy blossoms in this suprisingly witty debut.”

Kirkus

“Bryce Moore has done something most authors can’t do; he has created a story with a completely different type of mythology […] The author has created a great new type of mystery and legend, and I’m one reader who can’t wait to see if this story continues to develop.”

School Library Journal

“What’s really cool about VODNIK is the fact that it’s a cross between urban fantasy and Slovakian folk- and fairy tales and it works really really well […] This is a great YA book and a good one for adults as well.”

Best Fantasy Books

“VODNIK is quite a page-turner with interesting twists full of humor and suspense till the end. Moore includes all the aspects of a brilliant fantasy novel that adolescents will love: a twisted family history, castles, cute girls, ancient crypts, buried treasure, and wicked but comical mythical creatures.”

Signal Journal

“The world needs more books like VODNIK, and I for one am glad that people like Bryce keep popping up. I highly recommend this book, and pray to the book gods that there are more to come. Here’s to a great entry in Urban Fantasy!”

Beyond Dragons and Wizards

“With a great combination of humor and suspense, VODNIK is a great read. The supernatural elements are fresh and interesting, and the inclusion of Slovakian folklore makes for new takes on supernatural creatures […] It’s nice to see a supernatural novel that neither runs on the now cliché supernatural tropes or a romance.”

The Library Privateer

“Readers looking for a unique twist on paranormal, or who have interest in Eastern Europe or mythology, will definitely be satisfied with VODNIK.”

The Story Girl

“A terrific YA novel.”

Elitist Book Reviews

“Well-written, unique, and clever. It’s a breath of fresh air in a very popular genre, and I can’t wait to see what Moore gives us next.”

Dan Wells, The New York Times bestselling author of Partials

Middle Grade

The Memory Thief
“Moore crafts a compelling premise and a plot that delivers more than might be expected […] With interesting twists, captivating action, and a down-to-earth lead, this adventure is sure to become a new favorite.”

Kirkus

“With a fast pace, a clever premise, a likable main character and just enough danger to keep readers reading The Memory Thief is a must read.”

Middle Grade Mafia

“A fun adventure that readers of all ages will enjoy, The Memory Thief was an action-packed story about a boy trying to save his family and the rest of his town, whilst trying to adjust to his newfound skills in memory navigating. While this worked well as a standalone I’m secretly (well, not so secretly now!) hoping that there will be a sequel, or even a series. Don’t miss out on this one!”

Confessions of a Readaholic

“There’s so much wrapped up in here. The importance of family, the concept of honor, dealing with deception, and even a healthy dose of conflict resolution. Definitely a lot for a young reader to soak up, and yet it’s all tied up in a perfectly action-packed story line.”

Hopelessly Devoted Bibliophile

“This is a good book about growth, family and friendship that I think anyone would enjoy.”

Little Library Muse

“I challenge you to not devour it in one sitting, because I am almost certain you will! […] I can definitely see fans of J.K. Rowling and Tim Burton gobbling up this tale.”

The Crazy Bookworm

“Middle grade readers will love this fast-paced tale and, as I did, enjoy thinking about the complications of erasing knowledge and experience from the minds of others.”

Middle Grade and Young Adult Book Review

“Not only does this fabulous story provide a fascinating and exciting plot, but there is a powerful theme here of the morality of ‘fixing’ things by taking things that don’t belong to you. This makes for a great read for young fantasy lovers who are ready for something a bit different.”

Geo Librarian

“This is the best middle grade book I’ve read in years. Buy it for all your friends!”
