All the Best-Of Lists

12/6/2010

There are Jabberwocky clients all over this year’s round of best-of lists. Here’s the tally so far:

Goodreads.com has nominated Charlaine Harris‘s DEAD IN THE FAMILY for the Best Novel of 2010, and the novel’s Sookie Stackhouse and her lover Eric Northman are nominated for Favorite Heroine and Favorite Hero, respectively. Elizabeth Moon‘s OATH OF FEALTY, Brandon Sanderson and Robert Jordan’s TOWERS OF MIDNIGHT, Peter V. Brett‘s THE DESERT SPEAR, and Brandon Sanderson‘s THE WAY OF KINGS are all nominated the Best of Fantasy category. Finally, Brandon Sanderson has been nominated in the Best Author category.

Congratulations and good luck to all! (And don’t forget to vote!)

Audible.com has also listed their best books of the year, based on user reviews–and we’re pleased to announce that THE WAY OF KINGS, from Brandon Sanderson, and THE LOST FLEET: VICTORIOUS by Jack Campbell are both in the top 5 in the SF/Fantasy category.

Sci Fi Fan Letter’s Holiday Shopping list also features a number of our clients, including Violette Malan‘s THE PATH OF THE SUN, if you’re looking for a strong partnership (and Simon R. Green‘s SWORDS OF HAVEN as a backup option). If you want a twisted fairy tale, the site recommends Jim C. Hines‘s STEPSISTER SCHEME. And if fascinating magic is what you’re after, try Peter V. Brett‘s THE WARDED MAN.
